The party has only just begun...

Did someone say freebies?

Did someone say freebies....again?!

Are you ready for mini kit #2??  Well here it is!!!

Completely off tract:  I've learned that it's nearly impossible to find a right way, a respectful way and an honest way to deal with life altering events.  While we have be over whelmed by the grace and beauty of the gift of Quinn, as life tends to do - my family has been touched by horrendous grief with the news that my (favorite) paternal Uncle has gone from Lung Cancer remission to a reemergence of a new mass which has spread to his nodes.  We're a fiercely loyal family and have only become so much more close through the past 10-15 years.  So we are ready to fight, kick some Cancer ass and make it wish it never existed.

Well, the blow came yesterday after my Uncle's appoint. with his Oncologist whose prognosis was that this form of the cancerous mass, its' growth and spreading, is terminal.  Without treatment, my Uncle has maybe 6 months.  With treatment, he could have up two 2 years.  Needless to say, we're all pretty devastated and kind of just staring blankly trying to figure out where we should even begin.  With such an event it's seriously impossible to know how to even go about sharing this type of news without it seeming crass or overly invasive.  But y'all are definitely family to me so I just wanted to say a few words about it and seek some advice from you all who have dealt with similar situations or just anything to share.

I'll talk more upon it later....but for now - let's get back to the iNSD festivities!

Thanks y'all!

  1. Your uncle's health will be in my prayers tonight. The best we can do for him here is to make sure he is comfortable. Everything else is left in God's hands :)

  8. Harper, I am so sorry to hear your bad news. All us fans will be thinking about you and your family. Life goes that way, doesn't it? Good things, bad things, and everything in between. I'm glad you have the comfort of little Quinn to bring joy as you deal with sadness.
